Adult Education Transition/Assessment Facilitator Grant Position: The Carbondale Community High School Rebound grant program is accepting applications for an Adult Education Transition/Assessment Facilitator. The Adult Education Transition Facilitator is dedicated to guiding adult education students in successfully supporting, accessing, navigating, and transitioning into credit educational and careers pathways through professional guidance, program coordination, and process development. The Adult Education Assessment Facilitator is primarily responsible for the coordination of the assessment process for adult education students.  This includes the coordination of the testing schedule, the administration, scoring and interpretation of testing results, and the training and monitoring of test administrators.  The following qualifications are required:

  1. Bachelor's degree required in education, counseling, advising, social work or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
  2. One year of related work experience.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing, and communication skills.
  4. Ability to interact and work collaboratively with colleagues, students and the public.
  5. Ability to effectively use a computer and Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Hall Monitors
: Carbondale Community High School District 165 is accepting applications for Hall Monitors for the 2020-21 school year. These are non-certified IMRF positions. Applicants must have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License registered in Jackson County. The rate of pay is $13.00. per hour.  Benefits include sick and personal leave days, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.  You may download an application below.                  Substitute Employment Opportunities

Substitute Teachers
Carbondale Community High School District 165 is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers for the 2020-21 school year. The Substitute Teacher daily rate of pay is $85.00 (including TRS). Substitute Teachers are employed on an as needed basis. Substitute Teachers are paid by direct deposit on the 25th of each month for the days worked the preceding month. The following documentation is required to be placed on the district roster of Substitute Teachers:

1. Completed Substitute Teacher Employment Packet.

Carbondale Community High School District 165 is accepting applications for CCHS District 165 Substitute Support Staff (substitute clerical workers, cafeteria workers and maintenance workers). Substitute personnel are employed on an as needed basis and are paid by direct deposit. Substitute Clerical and Cafeteria Workers are paid minimum wage per hour.  Substitute Maintenance Workers are paid tbd. School: Carbondale Community High School District 165 opened a new high school in June 2003. Grades: 9-12, Alternative Education Program (Rebound), Health Clinic (Terrier Care), Students: 994; Principal, two Assistant Principals, Dean of Students, Special Education Director, Curriculum Director, Athletic Director; Career and Industrial Technology Director, School Resource Officer, Student Activities Director, Vocational Program Coordinator, Wellness Coordinator, ten Department Chairs; Teachers: 82; Support Personnel: 55.

Curriculum: The high school provides a comprehensive educational program that provides vocational, special education, remedial and college preparatory programs. Comprehensive co-curricular activities are offered in a broad range of programs in athletics, the arts and student clubs.  The high school enjoys a well-established tradition of excellence and has the support of the community for its school, faculty and administration.

Recognitions:

The Class of 2020 reported scholarships exceeding two million dollars to support their attendance at 40 colleges and universities throughout the country.
