March 2020 Registration Information


Mission Statement

It is our mission to create a non-judgmental,

flexible, school which enhances

individual self-worth, prepares students for the

work-world and continuing education, and

develops responsible citizens.

  • Out of school students complete their secondary education.

  • In-school students repeat classes failed at their home school.

  • All students receive help with transitions to post-secondary education and/or employment.

                        March 2020 Information

Registration Dates for High School Classes - Students may register for Rebound high school credit classes on the following dates:

  • Registration is March 17th and 18th at 8:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.

First full day of class is March 19th, 2020. Classes are Monday through Friday.

Eight week instructional blocks for high school credit classes - Teachers have planned their instruction so that classes will be completed in an 8 week period. Successful high school credits students can earn half credit per class every 8 weeks. Please note: we offer no guarantees; regular attendance and lots of effort will be required from students!

Hours of instruction for high school credit classes:

  1. 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
  2. 12:15 - 3:15 p.m.

Students will be enrolled in at least 2 classes. They will select class times that best fit their work or other personal schedules.

There will be no evening classes offered during the school year. Students with credit deficiencies may work on credit recovery during our summer session.

Registration for GED Preparation Classes - any Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
Students gain the knowledge and refine the skills they need in order to pass the GED test. Our instruction covers the subject areas of math reading and writing, social studies, science and the US and Illinois Constitutions. Students also practice the computer skills needed to take the GED test such as word processing, cutting and pasting, dragging and dripping information, and using drop-down menus. Students enrolled and attending our daily classes are also given access to i-Pathways, an on-line test-prep curriculum that they can use at home.

Transitioning to post-secondary education or employment
Rebound counselors and instructors are eager to help students with their college or employment goals. Counselors assist with college applications, financial aid, entrance testing, scheduling, textbook procurement, even how to correctly drop a class. Students searching for jobs receive aid with applications, résumés, interview skills, appropriate attire, and follow-up etiquette.
