You have qualified academically for consideration as a member of the National Honor Society.  Membership is based on excellence in four areas:  Service, Scholarship, Leadership, and Character.  In order to be inducted into the society, you must meet the criteria in all four areas.

If you want to be considered for membership, you must register and pick-up a sample NHS Student Candidate Submission Packet in the Principal’s Office.  The deadline for packet pick-up is 3:15 on Friday, November 17th, 2017.  The packet must be completed in typed form using the template link listed on our TerrierNet website as follows:  Student & Parents heading – Class of 2018 or Class of 2019 – Important documents – NHS Student Candidate Submission form.  Handwritten submissions will not be accepted.  Additional attachments that are not part of the submission packet will also be discarded. NHS packets must be submitted to the Principal’s Office by 3:15 pm on Friday, December 1st.  Late submissions will not be accepted.

Although you are to be commended for maintaining a high scholastic average, please understand that membership is not guaranteed to anyone.  The final decision for membership is made by the Faculty Council. (For additional information see the National Honor Society section in the Student Handbook.)

Active members in the National Honor Society are required to maintain a minimum scholastic average of 3.0 and to live up to the Character, Leadership, and Service ideals of the National Honor Society.

If you have any questions regarding the society or membership, please contact Mr. Dollins at your convenience.
